Renovations finished at Rosthern disability centre
A disability centre in Rosthern has finished renovations and an expansion after getting funding from the province.
The Valley Action Abilities centre was able to upgrade and repurpose its recycling building to create a gymnasium, kitchen, greenhouse, and two activity rooms. It also got upgrades to its washrooms and its heating and cooling systems.
The total costs of the upgrades were $550,000, provided by the Ministry of Social Services.
“By adapting their space to meet the needs of their participants, Valley Action Abilities have truly placed people at the heart of their programming,” said Premier Scott Moe. “This is a very exciting day full of new opportunities, and we are proud to support the project.”
