Man escapes from Willow Cree Healing Lodge

Rosthern RCMP are trying to find a 30-year-old man who escaped from the Willow Cree Healing Lodge on Beardy’s and Okemasis First Nation.

Early Tuesday morning, staff at the minimum-security federal institution discovered that Dane Woodward was missing.

Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted police in the area and issued an arrest warrant.

He’s currently serving a sentence of two years and five months for robbery, identity fraud, flight from peace officers, driving while prohibited, and failing to comply with a probation order.

He’s described as 5-foot-10 and weighs 190 pounds. He has a medium build with brown eyes and black hair.
