The Saskatchewan Roughriders are to kick off their 2023 training camp in Saskatoon on May 10.

The CFL team’s three-day rookie camp is to begin that day at Griffiths Stadium on the University of Saskatchewan campus. Main camp is to open May 14, with Green and White Day set for May 20 at SMF Field.

During Green and White Day, Roughriders president-CEO Craig Reynolds, vice-president and general manager Jeremy O’Day and head coach Craig Dickenson are to give the State of the Nation address at 1 p.m., with the Green and White game to follow at 3 p.m.

An autograph session is to be held after the game.

Saskatchewan’s first regular-season game is scheduled for May 27 at Mosaic Stadium against the B.C. Lions. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.

The Roughriders’ final practice in Saskatoon is slated for June 1, with the team to travel to Winnipeg for its final pre-season game June 2. The Green and White are to return to Regina on June 4.

Even before training camp begins, Roughriders players are to make community appearances in Saskatoon and in northern Saskatchewan.

Quarterback Trevor Harris and some of his teammates are to attend the Punchline Comedy Fundraiser on April 28 in Saskatoon. The Roughriders will be represented at the University of Saskatchewan’s Dogs’ Breakfast on May 4, and members of the team are to visit the White Buffalo Youth Lodge.

Players also are scheduled to appear at the Northern Saskatchewan Football League camp and visit schools in and around La Loche.

The Roughriders’ regular season is to begin June 11 in Edmonton against the Elks. Saskatchewan’s home opener is slated for June 16 against the Bombers.
