It’s starting to feel like spring in Saskatchewan, but will it last?

It’s looking like we’re going to have at least one more cold spell before it truly starts to feel like spring is here.

Brian Luzny, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, told paNOW that areas like Prince Albert, North Battleford, Melfort, and La Ronge will see some freezing rain Monday night with a chance of snow on Tuesday.

“Prince Albert should mostly see rain, La Ronge and Meadow Lake could be a lot more mix of snow and rain or even just snow,” he said.

After that, it should start to warm up with highs for the end of the week expected to be above 10 degrees. However, overnight will still be cold.

“The overnight lows will still be below zero with Thursday looking like it’s going to be the coldest at minus 10,” said Luzny.

He also joked that the weather is getting warm enough that golf courses will be opening very soon.
