Mar 18, 2023 | 9:49 AM

A Prince Albert court case, surrounding an alleged murder conspiracy plot, is moving to the next phase.

A preliminary inquiry hearing date has been scheduled for March 24.

On that day the Judge will hear the Crown’s evidence and decide if there’s enough to commit the case for trial.

In relation to the offences that took place between Feb. 23 and Feb. 25, Nigal Hunter-Best and Derrick Laliberte from Saskatoon, and Shantel Mike from Beardy’s and Okemasis Cree Nation, are facing a number of charges.

Those charges include conspiring to commit murder, forcible confinement, aggravated assault, robbery, and administering a noxious substance (pills and bleach) with intent to cause bodily harm.

They also face a number of weapons related charges. A hand gun was used during the robbery in which cash, jewelery, and a cell phone were taken.

No other details have been made public at this time, and no pleas have entered.
