Late donation helps CNOY smash fundraising goal in fifth annual walk
About 200 people filled the entrance of Save-on-Foods in Prince Albert on Saturday evening where they were set to embark on the fifth annual YWCA’s Coldest Night of the Year walk.
Participants registered at the store where they had the option to walk either a set 2km or 5km path through the city with both the start/finish line being at the store.
Organizer of the event David Hambleton told paNOW how appreciative he is to see the community come out and support a great cause.
“We wouldn’t be able to exist and do the things we do without the community support we have,” he said. “We look to help out our community’s most vulnerable people so to see the whole community get behind such a worthy cause, it warms our hearts for sure.”
