Man facing list of charges after three different sexual assault incidents on same day

Prince Albert Police have found and arrested a 33-year-old man accused of three separate sexual assault incidents, all on the same day.

Gary Janvier is facing a list of charges after the three incidents on Feb. 18, including sexual assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, resisting a peace officer and breach of a court order.

The first incident happened in the morning at the 1800 Block of Central Avenue, a sexual assault and assault with a weapon.

Then at 1 p.m. later that day, police were called to a business in the 2600 Block of Second Avenue West. A woman reported a man forced her into a room and assaulted her before fleeing. Officers were able to determine the man had the same description as the morning incident.

Police then received a third report of a sexual assault at 2:30 p.m., involving the same suspect. Janvier was found by police shortly after at the 3600 Block of Second Avenue West.

Janvier had his first appearance at Prince Albert Provincial Court earlier this week. He will be back in court on March 1.
