Best Funeral Home: River Park Funeral Home
For more than 50 years, River Park Funeral Home has been committed to serving the community and its residents in their time of need.
That dedication to serving the city and surrounding area has landed River Park the 2023 BOB Award for Best Funeral Home.
The business on River Street West boasts a modern facility with a chapel that can accommodate over 200 guests, a bright reception centre, and ample parking, all of which are perfect for creating unique and personalized services that suit all faiths, tastes and budgets. Offering assistance in estate matters and aftercare, complimentary livestreaming, and access to the Arbor Memorial network of funeral homes and cemeteries across Canada, sets River Park apart.
Riverpark Funeral Home also offers pre-planning for services, knowing it brings peace of mind so that families don’t have to make those tough decisions in their time of grief.
The work they do would not be possible without dedicated staff members.
“We are proud to be a Canadian family-owned business, that is locally staffed” said Lisa Bos-Atchison, Funeral Home Manager. “All of our staff are local here to Prince Albert and area, so they care about the families and community.”
Bos-Atchison goes on to say that staff do their best to give back to the community through a number of initiatives ,, including in partnership with their cemetery partners, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. These include the Duck Launch in June, the year end Candlelight service and events at the cemetery for Mother’s and Father’s Day.
“In those ways, we are very proud to be able to give back and to just support the community and be as involved as we can in giving back to the families that we are honoured to serve,” she said.
As the recipient of this year’s BOB Award for Best Funeral Home, Bos-Atchison said the recognition goes to all the hard-working staff and their commitment, dedication and compassion for serving the families of Prince Albert and area.
“We’re just really fortunate to be able to serve families to be able to look after those in their time of need,” Bos-Atchison said. “We’re honoured to be the recipient of an award that not just showcases what our business does but shows the dedication and the compassion of all our staff, and I am really proud of that.”
