Feb 15, 2023 | 5:00 PM

The chance to bid on the permits for the last of the provincially-owned liquor stores made for a busy last day of bidding on Lot 1.

The first of two available licenses in Prince Albert sold for $1.4 million.

Just over 260 bids were received on the permit, with 118 bids on Wednesday alone.

A screenshot of the final sale details publicly available on the sale of the first of six lots.

The second license is being sold in a different lot of permits. Not all of the permits in Lot 6 have bids yet, including Prince Albert’s which is still at the opening bid of $100.

Lot 6 is the last lot and closes at 2:00 pm on February 24.

All buyers are required to abide by SLGA rules, including being of good character.

Prices on the remaining permits sold in Lot 1 were not available.
