SWIFT CURRENT, SK – The Prince Albert Northern Bears got the short end of the stick this past weekend when they were swept in back-to-back games against the Swift Current Innovation Credit Union Wildcats at both the Fairview Arena and S3 Arena.

Game one saw Sadie Keller open the scoring for the Wildcats late in the first, before Jasmine Kohl scored early in the second for the Bears to tie it up. The two clubs then exchanged powerplay markers later that same period with Addison Eurich scoring for Swift Current while Julia Cey scored for the Bears.

The two again swapped goals in the third before the game went to overtime tied at three. Jerzey Watteyne needed only 26 seconds to put away the game-winner for the Wildcats where they took game one 4-3.
