SaskTel gives back to local charities and non-profits via TelCare program
SaskTel announced on Thursday that in 2022, they donated nearly $200,000 to nearly 50 different charitable and non-profit organizations across the province as a part of their TelCare program.
In a release, the telecommunications giant said that the program raised $128,832 in 2022. When that’s combined with SaskTel’s commitment to match 50 percent of each donation, it allowed them to donate a total of $193,250 to 44 different charities operating in Saskatchewan. Among those organizations are charities that operate close to home, including in Prince Albert, North Battleford, and surrounding areas.
“SaskTel employees continue to demonstrate their commitment to the communities they serve through the TelCare program,” said Don Morgan, the minister responsible for SaskTel. “I’d like to thank all SaskTel employees for the work they do every day, and for continuing to support those in need.”
Organizations in PA’s district saw a total of $8,835 get split between five charities in 2022, which include donations to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, Prince Albert & District Community Service, and the Victoria Hospital Foundation. La Ronge & Area KidSport also received a donation as did the North East SPCA in Melfort.
