Police investigating ‘serious incident’ on 18 Street West

Update: Police have confirmed the incident has now been resolved. One person has been taken into custody. More details are expected on Tuesday.

We are currently at the scene of a serious incident near the 400 block of 18th Street West. Members of the public can expect to see a large police presence and are asked to avoid the area while officers investigate. More information will be released as it becomes available.

Police say they are on the scene of what they’re calling a serious incident in the west part of the city.

Officers are near 4th Avenue and 18 Street West and asking residents to avoid the area.
