Some nasty weather is expected tonight and into tomorrow morning for a large portion of Central and Northwest Sask.

Snowfall, with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected for the Prince Albert, Lakeland, La Ronge, Shellbrook, Duck Lake, Melfort, Nipawin, Meadow Lake and Spiritwood areas.

The weather system is expected to taper off by Tuesday morning and move into central Manitoba.

Drivers are being reminded rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
