Salvation Army out in full force for ‘National Fill the Kettle Day’
Shoppers at the Walmart in Prince Albert on Saturday got to meet some four-legged friends while either coming in or going out of the store.
Volunteers from the Salvation Army were standing outside of the east entrance to the building with two donkeys in an effort to raise money for the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
Major Ed Dean with the Salvation Army told paNOW that they were not just set up at Walmart, but all over the city too.
“We have them set up everywhere,” he said. “We have them at Superstore, Save-on-Foods, Co-op, and Safeway as well. This afternoon at Superstore, we had some carolers from Wakaw come out and donate their time to us, so it’s been pretty busy.”
