For Medicine Hat, Tomas Mrsic, Dallon Melin, and Shane Smith were the goal scorers while Melin, Tyler MacKenzie, Dru Krebs, and Kurtis Smythe were the assist-getters.

Tikhon Chaika made 24 stops for PA in the game where they now fall to 10-19-2-0 on the campaign.

Beckett Langkow stopped 25 shots in the win where the Tigers improve to 12-16-4-1 on the year.

The Raiders’ first-period struggles continued into tonight where the Tigers found themselves up early. Mrsic and Melin both scored just 33 seconds apart from each other by managing to squeak the puck past Chaika, Mrsic went high and Melin went low.

Later in the period, the Raiders got one back. About 10 minutes later, Kovac’s point shot was stopped but the Tigers netminder let out a juicy rebound for Raiders rookie Peardon who went five-hole on the sprawling Langkow to make it 2-1 going into the second.

The Tigers lead carried on through the second and into the third where Smith added another late in the third for the Tigers to make it a 3-1 game.

The Raiders pulled Chaika with less than two minutes to go and prevailed with Stanick scoring his tenth of the year with 46 seconds remaining on the clock. But as time ticked down, the Tigers came away with a close 3-2 victory.

PA closes out their five-game homestand on Saturday night when they host the Spokane Chiefs at the Art Hauser Centre. Puck drop is set for 7 pm.
