Bears defeat Gold Wings, Hounds in back-to-back games on the road
WEYBURN/WILCOX, SK – The Prince Albert Northern Bears went two-for-two this past weekend defeating the Weyburn Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings on Saturday, then winning a shootout thriller on Sunday against the Notre Dame Hounds.
The weekend got started at Crescent Point Place in Weyburn where the Bears took down the Gold Wings 3-1.
The Wings managed to score early in the first when Sydney Dauvin found twine just five minutes in. Then with 23 seconds to go, Tristyn Endicott connected with Claudia Lammers to tie it up going into the second period.
The score would remain the same until the third when Jasmine Kohl put the Bears in front midway through. Julia Cey added an empty netter with 14 seconds left on the clock to seal the deal for PA, giving them their first win of the weekend.
