A second teen is charged with the homicide of a 47-year-old man on River Street in May.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with second degree murder and will make his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court this morning.

Another 15-year-old, arrested in June, was also charged with second degree murder.

Barry Pruden, 47, died on May 28 at River Street West and First Avenue.

He was with his daughter when they were confronted by a group of strangers. Pruden took a stand against the group, allowing his daughter Skye to run for help.

Pruden was then found with serious injuries and taken to Victoria Hospital where he later died.

The first youth’s case is making its way through the court system with his next appearance on December 12.
