RCMP investigating after 13 break-ins at 13 properties in Candle Lake

Over a dozen properties in Candle Lake were broken into this past weekend and police are still looking for those responsible.

On Saturday, Smeaton RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter in a seasonal home in the Resort Village of Candle Lake.

When officers arrived, however, they discovered 13 homes and trailers were broken into.

No one was in the properties at the time and police are now compiling a list of stolen items after speaking to the property owners.

RCMP is still investigating the break-ins along with Candle Lake Community Safety Officers.

Police are using the incidents to remind people in the area to report any suspicious activity they might see to the RCMP.
