It’s officially the holiday season in Prince Albert.

Santa Claus arrived in P.A. Saturday morning where the city helped welcome the jolly fellow with the annual Santa Parade, the first one after a two-year hiatus.

Kids and adults alike lined Central Ave. to catch a glimpse of the big man, all while enjoying the festive floats and performances that the parade had to offer.

Other than Santa, many other famous names were in the parade like Elmo, Dora, Chase from PAW Patrol, and even the Grinch made the trip all the way from Whoville.

City councillors, MLAs, and MPs were represented during the parade, while the Prince Albert Mintos also made an appearance. Parkland Ambulance Paramedics and the Prince Albert Fire Department drove an ambulance and a fire truck that was decked out with festive ribbons and bows.

After sharing lots of holiday cheer during the parade, Santa arrived at Gateway Mall where he will be available for pictures until Dec. 23.
