Agriculture Roundup for Thursday November 24, 2022
MELFORT, Sask.- The Saskatchewan government introduced changes to its trespassing legislation aimed at federal government employees.
The amendment calls for federal workers to comply with a law that requires people to get permission from landowners to go on private property.
Justice Minister Bronwyn Eyre said it follows complaints from agricultural producers about federal employees testing water on private land for pesticides without consent.
The legislation said failure to comply with the rules could lead to fines of up to $200,000.
