Saskatchewan Country Closeup – Dereck Wilson

Dereck grew up in Arcola, Saskatchewan. He attribute a lot of his love for country music and country sentiments to the sense of community he experienced growing up in a small, farming town where everyone knows and looks out for one another.

While music has been a secret passion that he’s kept to himself until now, Dereck is making a quick name for himself with a unique voice and sound. These last few months he’s been working hard on writing and creating songs while growing his social following. He now has over 45,000 followers and my audience continues to grow as he continue to cover songs and post original work. Dereck’s first single has been well-received since being released on all platforms. It’s called Call Me Country.
