Raiders look for back-to-back wins in southern Alberta

Nov 9, 2022 | 12:01 PM

The Prince Albert Raiders (5-11-2-0) close out a quick two-game swing through southern Alberta, stopping in Lethbridge to take on the Hurricanes (8-8-0-1) at the Enmax Centre.

The Raiders will try to repeat the performance they had last night where they toppled the Medicine Hat Tigers 3-1. Sloan Stanick led all point-getters in the contest last night, potting himself three points (1G, 2A).

PA currently sits in last place in the East Division but with a win tonight, the Raiders will move into a tie with Brandon for fifth place.

The Raiders are back at home on Friday night where they’ll debut their special jerseys for Remembrance Day against the defending WHL champion Edmonton Oil Kings.

How to listen to tonight’s game.

Who to Watch

Sloan Stanick netted a goal and two assists in his last game, and he now has points in four of his last five games. The pride of Rapid City, Man., leads all Raider forwards with 13 points with six of those coming over the last five games.

Alternate captain Landon Kosior enters tonight’s game riding a six-game point streak where the veteran defenseman is looking to add to his impressive tally. Over the span of his point streak, Kosior has netted himself ten points (3G, 7A) which included a four-point performance against the Tri-City Americans back on Nov. 1.

Forward Niall Crocker had two assists in last night’s win, helping on both Stanick’s and Pakkala’s markers. The 6’3” winger will look to build on his point totals from this year where he’s tallied four points in 18 games.
