Beau “Lac” Funeral Home and Crematorium: Exceptional, Not Expensive
Over the years, funerals and memorial customs have changed. Like any business, change has been inevitable in the funeral industry. Yet, Beau “Lac” Funeral Home and Crematorium has been able to modernize aspects of their services while still staying true to their roots by being exceptional – not expensive.
In 1994, Delores Beaulac opened a funeral home in Spiritwood, SK. In time, she expanded into neighbouring communities as residents began to hear about and experience the wonderful caring service that Beaulac’s reputation was built on. In 2013, Marianne and Travis Turcotte were welcomed into ownership and helped to spread that excellent level of service to Prince Albert. In 2017, Mark and Sheri Muir joined the team as business partners having had previous experience as owners of a full-service funeral home in southeastern Saskatchewan. That expertise also brought with it another opportunity to expand. Beau “Lac” Funeral Home and Crematorium added an intimate chapel to its Prince Albert location and funeral homes in Leask and Canwood. In the fall of 2020, they were honored to be asked to assist Lac La Ronge Funeral Home with any services and products they require to provide the best for families they serve in Northern Saskatchewan. The addition of a state-of-the-art, environmentally responsible crematorium in 2021 further enhanced the level of service provided to families ensuring loved ones never have to leave the funeral home’s care.
Co-owners, Marianne Turcotte and Mark Muir have been in the funeral service for a combined 53 years. In addition, they have nine fully licensed funeral director/embalmers, two certified funeral celebrants, a trained death and end of life doula, accomplished musicians, and many service specialists who assist families during their time of need.
