The Prince Albert Raiders announced on Thursday that overage defenseman Trevor Thurston will be heading west to BC after signing with the Merritt Centennials of the BCHL.

The North Delta, BC product was acquired in a trade back in December 2021 which saw the Raiders deal forward Tyson Laventure and defenceman Ross Stanley to the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for the 6’3” defenseman and a 2023 sixth-round pick.

During his time with PA, he managed to put up five points (2G, 3A) across 25 games in the green and gold while posting 53 penalty minutes across those games. In three playoff games, he added six penalty minutes with the Raiders.
