Armed robbery case committed for trial

A woman charged after a violent incident in Prince Albert last spring has opted to face trial.

Brittany Elderkin, 28, is facing charges of robbery with a firearm and dangerous driving.

Last Friday morning, during a short hearing at Prince Albert Provincial Court, a trial date of Jan. 6, 2023, was secured. No pleas have been entered.

The case dates back to the afternoon of March 20, when police were called to the 200 block of 15th Street West. The person who called reported a vehicle stolen by two people with a gun.
