Sandy Bay murder case committed for trial
Nearly two years after a man was attacked at a home in Sandy Bay, the resulting court case has been committed for trial.
Lenny Sinclair, 25, is facing a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 54-year-old Jacob Sewap.
Sinclair’s preliminary hearing was held Tuesday at Prince Albert Provincial Court, and the sitting judge ruled the Crown’s evidence was strong enough for the case to move forward.
Jacob Sewap was found by police in Dec. 2020, after they were called for the report of an assault. He died the next month as a result of his injuries.
