Disruptions expected as power upgrades begin in Riverview
Some residents in the Riverview area could be without power temporarily as electrical upgrades are being done to the neighbourhood.
SaskPower said the work began Monday to help replace around seven kilometres of underground cable that is near the end of its life. They said the work will continue as late in the year as weather permits and resume in the spring.
Some of the work will cause disruptions such as construction noise, planned power outages, and potentially some road restrictions. The Crown corporation said crews will also need to access some customers’ property to complete the work.
Disruptions will be kept to a minimum and communicated in advance. You can learn more about the project at SaskPower.com/projects.
