Prince Albert Police announces new inspector
The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) has appointed a new member to the top brass of its criminal investigation division.
Scott Hayes, a 16-year member, will oversee the division as inspector.
Prior to his promotion, Hayes held the rank of sergeant where he accrued over eight years of experience with the unit he now leads. The criminal investigation division is responsible for handling all major criminal files from homicide and attempted murder investigations, to missing persons and child protection. Hayes is also experienced in supervising patrols, leading the SWAT team and instructing fellow members.
“Our criminal investigation division is made up of a strong team of experienced investigators working to address crime in our community,” Police Chief Jonathan Bergen said. “Inspector Hayes has extensive experience working on major crime investigations and is a focused and determined leader who is committed to continued learning. I look forward to working together on our priorities in support of our community’s needs and interests.”
