Rise of the machines: Robotics becoming increasingly popular in Saskatchewan schools
From robot competitions to the need for robotic arms in different industries, as well as having fun, it seems robotics is becoming a popular choice for many young people in Saskatchewan.
Dan Bechard is Academic Chair for Engineering Technologies at Sask Polytech and shares whether he’s seen a big increase in those taking robotics over the past couple of years.
“I wouldn’t say we have a strong increase but it’s steadily increasing right now,” he said. “We see robotics in three of our four campuses. We’re gaining momentum.”
