Carlton victorious in 2022 Canadian Tire Classic, throttle St. Mary 51-14
The Carlton Crusaders started their regular season with a bang on Thursday night, stomping the St. Mary Marauders 51-14 in the tenth annual Canadian Tire Classic.
On top of it being the season opener, it was a revenge game for Carlton as they lost last years Classic to St. Mary by a 35-14 decision.
Carlton quarterback Sullivan Smith-Windsor led his Crusaders in the dominate win, rushing for four touchdowns on seven carries. He also rushed for ten yards while passing for an additional 191 yards and two touchdowns on six of ten attempts.
Crusader receiver Tristan O’Connell also had himself a game, posting 107 receiving yards and one touchdown on three catches.
