A book of condolences is available for people to sign at Prince Albert City Hall, to mark the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The monarch died on September 8 at the age of 96. She held her title as Queen for over 70 years. Flags at city facilities have been lowered to half-mast.

Prince Albert Mayor Greg Dionne reflected on the long reign of Queen Elizabeth in a media release sent out by the city Tuesday.

“I have only ever had one Queen in my lifetime and her passing brings a sense of loss for many of us,” Dionne said. “The Queen was much loved and highly regarded for her stability and commitment to duty.”
