Calling All Women Who Love to Sing

The Watsonairs Fall Session is starting on Monday, September 12 at 7pm.

Kathy Donahue – Treasurer of the Watsonairs, recalls her time with the choir.

“In 2018 I finally fulfilled my adult dream of singing in a choir. I had heard of the Watsonairs but didn’t know much about them. I didn’t know that they raised money every year at their Christmas concert and donated ALL of the proceeds to a charity (usually the Salvation Army Christmas Cheer Fund – around $2000!), or that they sponsored awards at the PA Music Festival, bought sound and music equipment for care homes and other places INCLUDING the grand piano at the Rawlinson Centre!!”

“I didn’t know that they visited care homes before Christmas and sang, or that they chose a charity every year to donate money to with money raised at their Spring Concert! This group is one of the longest running choirs in the province – started in 1956 and running every year until COVID hit.”

“What I didn’t know was how much fun it would be with such a welcoming group of women of all ages!”
