Prairie Dogs ready to defend Harvest Cup as SFLL season begins
The Prince Albert Prairie Dogs are set to defend their Saskatchewan Field Lacrosse League Harvest Cup championship as the new season gets underway this weekend.
Contests will be played at Donna Birmaier Field in Saskatoon before switching up to Max Clunie Field here in Prince Albert next weekend. Games are held every weekend in one location.
All six teams will be in action tomorrow as the Dogs will kick off the new season against the Saskatoon Plainsmen at 10 a.m. They will then play later that same day at 4 p.m. versus the Regina Southern Comfort in a rematch of last season’s championship final.
This year’s Harvest Cup playoffs will be held in Sturgis where P.A. will look to become back-to-back champs.
