Saskatchewan Country Closeup – Adam Johnson

Aug 17, 2022 | 7:59 AM

In 2021, country-rocker, Adam Johnson, exploded onto the scene with his high-energy Country music. Over the first year and a half of his recording career, Adam received features from several online music magazines and radio stations across Canada and accumulated thousands of radio spins.

When Adam began his musical journey, he played and wrote rock music influenced by bands like The Rolling Stones and songwriters like Bob Dylan. He kept that inspiration with him when he fell in love with country acts like Kenny Chesney and Dierks Bentley.

He finally switched to country during the pandemic in 2020 when he began writing and recording demos.

In only a year on the scene, Adam has reached #1 and #3 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdowntop 100 status on Canadian Country Radio, and garnered attention from Country Thunder. With Adam’s debut EP “Come On Let’s Go” now on streaming platforms, he has nowhere to go but up.

Adam Johnson is our guest on the Saskatchewan Country Closeup. We talk new music and what’s on the way.
