Local athletes set for 2022 Canada Summer Games

Athletes from across Saskatchewan are heading out east to Niagara, Ont. to compete in the 2022 Canada summer games.

A crew of 375 of the best amateur athletes from the province will be among the over 5,000 athletes from across the country competing for gold in 20 different sporting events. Not to mention the 111 coaches and mission staff from over 70 different Saskatchewan communities.

Among the nearly 500 participants from Saskatchewan, 21 athletes and coaches are from Prince Albert.

In order of sport, below is a list of athletes and coaches who hail from P.A:

  • Kiana Mullner, Softball
  • Troy Preymack, Softball
  • Ethan Smith, Volleyball

Along with these participants, 15 others were selected from surrounding communities.

The games kicked off on Aug. 6 and will go until Aug. 21.
