The Victoria Hospital Foundation (VHF) is excited to announce that the recent golf tournament held annually in July by the Emma Lake Golf Course has raised $37,550 to fund a dedicated van for the 200+ residents in long-term care at the two care homes attached to the hospital.

We’d like to thank Ross & Janet Ethier of the Emma Lake Golf Course (ELGC) for their on-going support of the Foundation and it’s miss on to improve healthcare at the Victoria Hospital. The ELGC holds two tournaments annually with proceeds going towards new medical equipment.

Funds raised at the July 8th tournament are going to help our long-term care residents get out into the
community in their dedicated transport van without having to pay transport fees or contend with transport
booking conflicts. The van gives opportunities for residents to attend events, family functions, hockey games and many other adventures.

Thank you to the all the golfers and our major sponsors: Lake Country Co-op, Schaan Home Healthcare, Cameco, WCB WorkSafe, Prince Albert Daily Herald and RNF Ventures LTD. Thank you also to the more than 20 additional donors who faithfully contribute to this tournament.

We would also like to thank the SUN Local 62 nurses’ union who have continued their sponsorship of the van’s maintenance over the next 3 years.

The Victoria Hospital Foundation’s mission is to build awareness of and inspire investment in local
health care and the well-being of the people of Prince Albert and surrounding communities.
