MacDowall collision takes two lives, two more in hospital

A crash between two pickup trucks last evening has taken the lives of two people and hospitalized a child and another man.

RMCP said a 16-year-old girl driving one pickup is dead along with the 46-year-old man who was driving the second pickup.

A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital by STARS with serious injuries. No update on the condition of the child was available at the time of publication.

Parkland Ambulance Services said they transported a 22-year-old man also with serious injuries to hospital.

RCMP from Prince Albert were called to Highway 11 south of MacDowall at 8:40 pm yesterday evening.

Rosthern RCMP along with Prince Albert Fire Department, Rosthern Fire and Rescue and MacDowall Volunteer Fire Department were also on scene.

Highway 11 was closed for the start of the investigation but is now opened. Police continue the investigation with the help of a collision reconstructionist.
