Search hits third day for missing 28-year-old boater on Dore Lake

A search continues for a missing boater on Dore Lake.

On Saturday, July 16, RCMP received a report of a 28-year-old man falling into the water but never reemerging.

A member of the man’s family, who asked for his name to be left out of the article at this time, claims his cousin went in after the missing man but couldn’t find him.

Officers from the Meadow Lake and Green Lake Detachments, as well as conservation officers with the Provincial Protective Services Branch, searched over the weekend but were unsuccessful.

The RCMP, the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team (HEART) out of Manitoba, Lloydminster Rescue Squad, and Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) were out on the water and in the air on Monday but still haven’t found the man.
