Sharks Participate in ANSASK Swimming Championship

Six swimmers from PA Sharks participated in the Man-Sask long course provincial championships from 7-10 July 2022 in Saskatoon.

Sharks swimmers competed against 29 swim clubs, came fourth in women rank with a total of 349 points among Saskatchewan clubs and 9th in women rank over all. The sixth sharks swimmers showed fantastic performance and the team came away with six medals along with personal bests. That’s beside “ 2 National qualifying times and 6 “AA” times.

Here are highlights from the swim meet:
Myla M. : outclassed the field in her individual events and pull off a Bronze medal in 1500-metre Freestyle. She also achieved six “AA” time standard. Way to go Golden Fish!

Ali.D : Put a mammoth effort in the 100- metre Breast, 200- meter individual medley, 50-metre, 100- metre and 400- metre Freestyle, to pull off five bronze medals. Ali added another two national time standards and is ready to go to the National in Montreal in 10 days. Ali is the youngest among all para swimmers in MANSASK.

Clara. G : Achieved three “A” time in 100- metre and 200- metre butterfly, and 200- metre freestyle with personal best times. She qualified to the finals as well.

Ava.H : Achieved personal best times in 100 and 200 – metre backstroke and 100- metre
freestyle.

Sophie. B : Came sixth in the 100- metre Breast stroke, fourth in 200- metre Breast stroke,.Best personal in 200- metre Individual medley, 50- metre butterfly Last but not least a big shout out to our Diamond Fish Miss Ali. She picked up four National para swimming time standard… look out for Ali in The Canadian national swimming championships this month in Montreal.
