Update: RCMP still looking for missing teens last seen in Christopher Lake

UPDATE: Prince Albert RCMP notified the media on Aug. 2 that Ranita Ballantyne and Ashlynn Bear have been located and are safe.

Prince Albert RCMP is asking for help finding two missing teens.

On July 9, police received a report of two missing girls: Ranita Ballantyne, 13, and Ashlynn Bear, 15.

They were last seen together on Forrest Gate Road in Christopher Lake at around 7:00 p.m. on July 9.

Ranita stands 5 foot 5 and weighs 143 lb. She has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and black pants. She normally wears glasses.

Ashlynn stands 5 foot 1 and weighs 132 lb. She has shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans shorts and a light green backpack.

RCMP said they have connections in Prince Albert and surrounding areas but their whereabouts and direction of travel are unknown.
