Keepin’ cool: Prince Albert residents not sweatin’ the heat wave
With daytime highs in the high 20s or early 30s for the next couple of days, and humidity even higher, residents in Prince Albert will likely be flocking to spray parks, pools, ice cream shops, and anywhere with some good air conditioning.
Six-year-old Vayda was among those enjoying the Crescent Acres Spray Park on Tuesday afternoon and had a simple answer when asked by paNOW what advice she would give someone to avoid heat stroke.
“Go in the water,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Scott family was enjoying the Kinsmen Park spray pad. Sheila Scott acknowledged she gets concerned for her kids’ safety when temperatures rise but added she takes lots of measures such as ensuring they are drinking lots of water and having some cool treats.
