$30 million gas line expansion planned between Choiceland and Smeaton
Construction on an expanded gas transmission line between Choiceland and Smeaton is planned to start next summer at a cost of $30 million.
The new pipe will run for 23 kilometres and increase the amount of natural gas supply for those communities but also help out Nipawin, Tisdale and Melfort, according to an information page on TransGas’ website.
The public has a chance to weigh in Tuesday afternoon in Choiceland with a public meeting at the Senior’s Hall going from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, July 6, people can also attend a meeting at the Kinistino Half-Century Club during the same times.
