Police looking for white Cadillac and three suspects following robbery in Wakaw
Two men and a woman driving an early 2000s, white Cadillac CTS are being sought by police following a robbery at a pharmacy in Wakaw.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2 in the 100 block of 1st Street. After officers confirmed nobody was injured, they began searching for the suspects: two black men with tall and thin builds. Witnesses reported they both spoke with accents. They were wearing masks at the time of the robbery. The third suspect is an Indigenous female with a heavy build who waited in the vehicle while the robbery occurred.
Investigators determined two male suspects entered the pharmacy and threatened employees with bear spray. They fled with an undisclosed amount of prescription medication and left Wakaw heading northbound on First Avenue.
“Wakaw is in lake country and in the summer our community is bustling with visitors. July 2 was no exception,” said Cst. Brendin Feere with the Wakaw RCMP. “We are asking anyone who was on 1st Street around the time of the robbery to check their phones to see if they took any photos or video between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. Even something as simple as a selfie may contain information investigators can use.”
