MELFORT, Sask. — Cereals Canada released its 2021 annual report, providing an overview of how the organization worked to support the value chain and make progress on its key objectives, despite industry-wide challenges.
Board chair, Todd Hames, said in the last year, the entire industry came together to support each other.
“We experienced drought, excess moisture, floods, geopolitical crisis, evolving marketplace concerns, and government regulation, yet we continued to maneuver through these events to help Canadian farmers,” Hames said.
Cereals Canada focused on the strategic areas of market access and advocacy, market support and development, growing Canadian demand, and market and technical research.
