Best Wings: Prince Albert Brewing Company
If you’re after a satisfying meal and a pint, then Prince Albert Brewing Company (PABCo) is the place for you.
PABCo has taken home the honours for Best Pub/Bar, Best Night Life Venue and Best Wings in Prince Albert. With the biggest wings and endless flavour options, homestyle cooking and great service it’s no surprise that their pub is ranked at the top.
“I’ve always thought our wings were the best, they’re definitely the biggest,” owner Rob McLeod said.
Wings are on special every night Tuesday through Thursday and Friday night is Steak Night at PABCo. Try one of their house pints paired with a 10-ounce New York striploin and full sides for just $25.
Add in locally-produced beer named after local Prince Albert landmarks and it’s easy to see why PABCo has been named the Best Pub/Bar three years in a row. “We invite you to come in and meet our bar manager Kyriakos, high energy, very friendly not to mention good looking”. “We don’t have a large menu, but we like to think that everything we put out is top quality with generous portions,” McLeod said.
A previous BOB Award winner in multiple years since 2014, PABCo sources most of their menu items locally. They also operate a micro-brewery on site, featuring a variety of hand-crafted beer named after some local-area sites.
Try the Broken Bridge Lager with its light, golden colour and crisp, dry finish; or the Grey Owl pale ale, offering a mix of fruity, hoppy and malt aromas. Also brewed in-house is the Pioneer Pilsner, the Rogues Red Ale, Classic IPA and the St. Louis Ghost Light.
PABCo also sells a variety of seasonal flavour shots, including lime, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and chocolate.
Now producing twice as much lager as when PABCo first opened in 2011, Brewer Harvey Dennis says the micro-brewery is running at capacity, and their beer sells as fast as they can produce it.
