Sell-out Duffer Classic a big success for Prince Albert chamber
The old adage says business is done on the golf course, and while there were many businesses out at Mark’s Nine Golf and Country Club last Thursday, commerce may have been on the back-burner for many as they enjoyed an event put on by the Prince Albert Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber held their annual Duffer Classic at the course last Thursday. While holding events has been trickier the last two years due to the pandemic, this year people showed no shyness getting out.
“It was fantastic,” said chamber CEO Patty Hughes. “We had a great day out. We actually had sold out and had a full board of teams that were there. It was great for the business community to be able to get together in a fun, social networking event.”
Golf may have been a bit of a secondary consideration on this day, as players took a laid-back approach to that aspect of the event.
