Jun 13, 2022 | 1:00 PM

Prince Albert and North Battleford’s COVID levels remain low, while Saskatoon’s is going in the opposite direction.

That’s according to the University of Saskatchewan which continues to study the virus in each community to determine how prevalent it is.

Levels in P.A. dropped by roughly 28 per cent when compared to last week. The current levels are also the seventh-lowest recorded in the city since the start of the Omicron wave.

In North Battleford, levels did go up nearly 29 per cent from last week, however, the U of S researchers stated they remain in the low range. The current levels are also the sixth-lowest recorded over the past several months.

Saskatoon on the other hand is seeing its levels jump by around 134 per cent. They’re currently the highest the city’s seen since May 13th, 2022.

As for the Omicron variant, more specifically the Omicron subvariant BA.2, it’s continuing to account for nearly all levels in the three cities.

It currently represents around 99 per cent in P.A. and 100 per cent in North Battleford and Saskatoon.
