Seeding progress caught up to the five-year average

The June 7 crop report from Alberta Agriculture says 93.9 per cent of the crop in the Peace had been seeded by that date.

That is the same as the five-year average for this time of year.

Seeding progress was at 2.5 per cent as of May 17. The new report said it was because of the “action and efficiency” of farmers in the Peace that so much progress has been made since.
