Police investigating second homicide in P.A. this weekend

Prince Albert police are investigating the city’s second homicide this weekend.

Just before 11:30, Saturday night, police responded to a weapons complaint around River Street West and 1 Ave.

When they arrived, they found a 47-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Victoria Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

The area of River Street West and 1 Ave. is currently blocked off as the Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Unit investigate.

Police said no arrests have been made at this time.

This death comes after another man died following a shooting in East Flat early Saturday morning.

Anyone with information regarding these homicides is asked to call Prince Albert police or Crime Stoppers.
