Raiders select San Jose sniper and Alaskan anchor in U.S. Priority Draft
The Prince Albert Raiders picked a goal-scoring machine with good bloodlines to kick off their 2022 U.S. Priority Draft.
The Raiders selected San Jose sniper Dylan Nolan with the 10th overall pick. Nolan scored 30 goals and 50 points in 42 games with the San Jose Jr. Sharks 14U AAA team, and another 11 goals and 20 points in 10 games in high school hockey with Valley Christian High.
Dylan is the son of longtime NHL’er Owen Nolan, who scored 422 goals and 885 points in his 18-year NHL career.
The Raiders then picked defenceman Gordon Jennings with their second pick, 35th overall. Jennings scored 15 goals and 37 points in 52 games with the Alaska Oilers in 14U AA hockey. Jennings is listed as 5’11, 171 pounds.
